When it comes to dog training, we don't rely on guesswork or surface-level quick fixes. As a Master Dog Trainer with a Master of Science in Animal Behavior, our entire approach is built on rewiring how your dog processes the world around them, building stronger, clearer neural pathways for reliable real-world obedience.
The behavior consultation is free and carries no obligation. Bring us the case other trainers said was too much.
Every program starts with the same process: a free, in-depth behavior consultation. We will not sell you a package before we have actually looked at your dog.

We have been working with Ashley through her puppy program with our five-month-old German Shorthaired Pointer, Brooks, and have had such a great experience. Ashley is incredibly experienced and knowledgeable, and we saw a huge difference in Brooks almost immediately. He spent a couple of weeks with her for a board and train and went from being pretty terrible on a leash to genuinely exceptional. I really appreciate that she doesn't just train the dog, she teaches us how to understand his behavior, respond to different situations, and continue the training ourselves at home. What has impressed me most is how individualized her approach is. Ashley doesn't use a one-size-fits-all training formula.
Ashley trained my dog and I couldn't be happier. She was very straight forward and didn't sugar coat anything just to get my money. I had a very aggressive pit that didn't like anyone but now he absolutely loves everyone and I feel more than comfortable leaving him around people and even kids. I recommend her to anyone I meet that needs help with their dog.
Ashley was an amazing dog trainer! My dog had some pretty serious aggression issues, and I wasn't sure how much we would be able to improve. After working with Ashley, the difference has been incredible. My dog is doing amazing now, is much calmer and better behaved, and I feel so much more confident handling her. Ashley was patient, knowledgeable, and really took the time to understand my dog and work with her specific needs.
Ashley is fantastic! She trained and watched my dog for years, and she was truly the only person I trusted to keep him safe and cared for while I was on vacation. My dog is reactive, and Ashley also helped me better understand him and gave me strategies to make our walks and everyday life more successful. Ashley truly cares about the dogs she works with like they are her own. I'm so grateful for everything she did for us and couldn't recommend her enough!
We used Ashley for our black lab and beagle, and she was truly wonderful! She made such a huge difference with both of them. The change in their behavior before and after board and train was night and day, and even years later they were still so well behaved. We were so grateful for everything she taught them, and us, and for the care she put into working with them.
We had such a great experience with Benji's training! From the very beginning, the trainer was patient, knowledgeable, and truly cared about helping Benji learn and improve. We've seen a huge difference in his behavior, listening, and overall confidence. You can tell they genuinely love working with dogs and take the time to understand each dog's personality and needs.
Ashley was amazing with our dog! She was patient, knowledgeable, and really took the time to understand our dog's behavior. We've already noticed a big improvement and feel much more confident moving forward. Highly recommend Ashley to anyone looking for a great behavioral dog trainer!
Ashley provided me with updates and photos and videos, which I valued. She has reasonable pricing. I felt my dog was well cared for and welcomed. I recommend Ashley for boarding and training, which we are also doing with her.
Ashley is a fantastic dog trainer and more importantly just a kind person. She communicates well, makes scheduling easy, and makes the process 100% stress free!
Aggression, reactivity, severe anxiety and fearfulness are not add-on services here. They are the core of the practice.
Aggression is a symptom, not a diagnosis. We treat the driver underneath it.

A full assessment of triggers, temperament and emotional state. No cost, no obligation, no package sold before the diagnosis.
You get an honest prognosis and the program that actually fits the case, whether that is one lesson or a full residency.
Structured training built on clean neural pathways and consistent boundaries, with safety managed throughout.
We hand the skills to you. Training that only works in the trainer's hands is not a result.
We understand how dogs think, learn and process stress. Protocols are built on behavioral science and a real diagnosis, not on guesswork or borrowed technique.
Safety and physical and emotional well-being are always prioritized. Management comes first on every serious case, so nothing gets rehearsed while the plan is being built.
We build habits that hold up outside the training room. Skills are pressure-tested in the environments you actually live in, because that is the only place reliability counts.
Communication happens in the axon. In neuroscience, an axon is the core part of a nerve cell that transmits impulses from the brain to the body. It is where habits form and where the lightbulb moments occur.
That is not a decorative metaphor. When it comes to dog training, we do not rely on guesswork or surface-level quick fixes. Our entire approach is built on rewiring how your dog processes the world around them, building stronger, clearer neural pathways for reliable real-world obedience.
Whether you are setting up a new puppy for lifelong success, fine-tuning advanced manners, or navigating complex behavior challenges like reactivity and aggression, we build real solutions from the brain up.
Axon K9 is based in Temecula, CA, and serves Temecula Valley and the wider Southern California area. In-home and Board & Train clients travel in from across Riverside and San Diego counties.
Every case starts with the free behavior consultation. It costs nothing, carries no obligation, and it is the only responsible way to recommend a program. Call (619) 988-6624 or send the enquiry form.
Board & Train starts at $1,000+ per week, private lessons at $150+ per session with packages available, and structured boarding at $70+ per night. Home School and Puppy Development are quoted as custom packages. The behavior consultation is free.
Yes. Aggression, reactivity, severe anxiety and fearfulness are core specialties, handled under strict structural safety protocols. Disclose any bite history when you make contact so the assessment is planned safely.
All breeds. Protocols are built around the individual dog's behavior, drive and stress response rather than around breed stereotypes.
We build protocols on behavioral science and structural safety, matched to the individual dog and the driver behind the behavior. What we do not do is apply one fixed method to every case regardless of what the dog in front of us needs.
That depends on the behavior, its history and household consistency. You get an honest estimate at the consultation rather than a package sold before anyone has assessed the dog.
